HERE WE GO AGAIN Anyone SETTING Aug 30th - Sept 8th join me!!

Edit:
I just went to check on the separated chick, expecting her to be dead as she wouldn't stand up or eat or drink.

She was not only standing, but I saw her take a drink of water too!

Also, she pooped while I was watching, and it wasn't bloody...just white and runny. Anybody know if this is a good or bad sign?
sounds like a good sign to me!!!

Woke up to anothe sick chick.

Separated her to the other sick chicks tub and changed the water bowls to fresh sulmet.

I also read that I have to wait 3 weeks between sulfu treatments :(

I'm hoping I see some improvement in the next couple days. This sucks.

Wishing you luck. So far have 16/24 eggs from Catdance that have made it. I'll know more tonight when I candle before locking down.

I'll bet it does. Years ago I worked for a vet and coccidia is not fun to play with. Make sure you wash your hands after handling them and also before you touch the other chicks

I just hate when we lose one. You pray that you are doing everything right and it still isn't good enough. For some reason I have found if they make it to 1 week old they seem to survive. I had one(assisted hatch) that was always smaller and didn't feather as fast as the others but he is 10 weeks old now and looks just like the rest of his brothers.

Yeah, I've been hand sanitizing everything in sight after I touch it; doorknobs, the sanitizer bottle, the works. The chicks are on the medicated feed so hopefully I don't pass it. I'm also trying to limit my contact with the chicks [even though I really want to socialize them]

I hope this is over soon.
