I have to agree with Roxanne. Leaving the turner in could injure the other chicks. When you up the humidity for lock down you risk the two eggs getting too much moisture and then drowning. I would definitely try to find another incubator to put them in.Okay, first here is the situation: I added two of my daughters eggs from her EE about 7-9 days after my others (have to look at notes), so mine go into lockdown sun/mon, but of course hers will need to still be on the turner for a few more days.
Question: has anyone ever left a couple rows on the turner to turn while taking the others racks out and placing the lockdown eggs on the grate? Is this just too dangerous for the chicks hatching out?
I'm thinking my son-in-law is going to buy another incubator today but just in case not, I'm not sure how to handle the two later eggs. At this point, I think maybe, I see veining. Hard to tell because they are blue.
