im sure they will be remember the brooder does leave the eggs to eat and drink so think positive andI knowI am on day 20 but set my eggs in the evening so probably late tomorrow or the next day. Unfortunately my hatcher lost temp down to 99 degrees overnight. I hope things will till be ok.

The tap test is where you tap the egg with finger. If there is a chick in there it will respond by tapping its beak on the shell. You can also fill the chick tapping on the egg also. The chick died after it had been trying to pip the egg for so long that it just gave up.

I set mine at night last night andgot up and checked on it and it was ok but by morning it was down lower... just hate it. I think my next ones I am going to just leave in the incubator I use for the first 18 days and just take out the turner. Unless the other 3 eggs I snuck a few days ago in are looking viable lol!im sure they will be remember the brooder does leave the eggs to eat and drink so think positive and, yes i set mine at night its horrible because you expect them that day . we will have chicks before we know it
mine are on there sides but i have to turn them my self and they are always on there sides and my hatches are about 50 ish % but i am new as well , i think its down to luck only and plenty ofOK : Question lovely people .......... when it's time for lockdown, I have done both ie kept them in the turner (upright) and laid them on their sides and feel like I have had better luck with them upright - but that may just be me .... what do you guys recommend, from your experience, keep in the turner upright to hatch (obviously with turner switched off) or taken out of the turner and laid on their sides?
