Honestly i am more and more thinking its the eggs themselves for the most part from shipping..I feel Some are really sensitive to the jogging around and others not as much...Sorry to hear that your last hatching attempt was a failure. I am starting to wonder why the last 2 of mine have been singletons? 1/7(RIR)in lockdown and then 1/3 in lockdown for the Araucanas. Although I am only on day 22 with the Araucanas, there may stiill be hope but I am highly doubting it. Good luck with the puppies. I envy you being able to have them. I tried twice with very good bloodlines and neither took. Then personal issues got in the way and I decided it would be best if I put it on the shelf. It has been great getting to know you in the past few threads. We have had a lot of ups and downs together. I did a BAD thing last night and bought another dozen+ Heritage RIR eggs off of ebay. I swore I was not going to do shipped eggs again but I just couldn't resist that BIN button...LOL. If this set doesn't work out I will probably be done until my own birds mature enough to start laying their own eggs next year. It will probably be around Feb/March so it looks like we will be hatching buddies again in the near future. God Bless and keep in touch.
I think someones idea is the best ....put in a control group of your own eggs or local and see if THEY hatch. Then you can be more sure if its shipping or some problem with the incubating.you have local in now dont you? From that guy who brought them?
ARe thye due to hatch now or later Interested to see how you do on them.
Im sorry your dog breedings didnt take. It is a lot of work these pups are so very big .This might be my last breeding b/c of that. My 4th of the mastiffs.
Breeding I have lately decided better to just take them in to artifically inseminate. Not that expensive like ppl .... $60 so that way i can be pretty sure it works.Jackson is sort legged and he is willing but I wonder at his sucess rate with Betha (the mom ) 0 for 2 LOL.
But she is tall ..
He has high sperm count the vet said.
However last time (both their first time) they also mated once and had 12 puppies so to me thats the way to go
I will be with you here in Feb March In fact Pm me which week as i am doing my own eggs from my Lo;s then for sure if not some shipped... and i can do it the same weeks as you do.
Will you be doing your own too?I know your girls will be laying when mine do about Jan.
i feel as if you are a friend b/c we have gone thru a few hatches now. together months of talk ..... well and the dog preference too.
I am sure we will talk on some threads later too or this one .as i learn more each time i watch others hatch.
