Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

In other news.... I am embarking on my LAST setting of season. I have 3 grey dewlaps from ebay, 4 grey dewlaps from my buff dewlap seller, and 2-3 eggs from Erin.... all being shipped out first thing tomorrow morning.

I have completely lost my mind!

I want to get some dewlap toulouse and sebbies! I just put 3 more pilgrim eggs in last night. But I'm doubtful that they are even fertile. That darn duck has paired up with my goose and I think the ganders have given up

If they are spelling it Americuana they aren't the real thing. Most aren't selling the real thing actually, especially on eBay when it comes to that breed they are most likely just EE.

Ohhhh Yaaaa! That egg is a rockin' !! My girls got to see it and are so excited. We think it will be an Easter baby, so we decided on Easton if it's a boy and Ester if it's a girl

I had said I wasn't going to name it or get my hopes up just in case...I hope everything goes ok!

The two in their picture are blue Ameracuana, they say they have blacks and splash in the flock too, so you could get a white feathered bird with spots of blue scattered all over as well. Using black is good practice to retain deeper blue tones. They will add colored eggs to your basket for sure. Without seeing the shaded blue the parents lay you won't know what to expect. Blacks usually lay some of the best blue shelled eggs.

Are these the same kind of birds your son has? Are they the right ones, pure like they said? I thought a pure line would be worth retaining. (we aren't keen on noisy roosters, so they better be special if I have to cage them seperately in a full dark room in the garage every night.)

I also added a trio of California white leghorns (2 female/1 male) to my ancona and indian runner duck order for this week. My sister lives in the same town as a hatchery, so my mom is going to see her and pick up her 200, and grab mine to why shes in missouri. (Near you, QJ?)

Marty, the place that I got my toulouse eggs for the babies that just hatched sells ameraucana eggs too.

Goosed, your baby is doing well... sounds like all is according to schedule. Just keep temp/humidity stable, a watchful eye over it, and do NOT open bator!!

Our son raises BCM, I have ran through 3 flocks of Ameracuana lavenders and blacks. Now we have just a few select hens left from each group we are keeping with the EE's for a project.

Without seeing the entire flock, or better photos it's hard to say on quality, but if all you wants the blue eggs they should do that for you just fine. No need to keep a roo unless you want to breed them. If that's your goal I would ask for more photos of their stock and be very picky about eggs.

The same goes for the BCM, lots of people have them, few have birds worth paying good money for egg to hatch from.
