Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

What variety? You may have said, but I don't recall. I know day 31 is not uncommen. I have toulouse and sebastopols in the oven, and day 28 is saturday, but I don't expect anybody until Mondayish. Its hard to wait, and I know I need to be candling every night now. Hope it happens for you soon!

Today is day 30, and you are just seeing shadows on the one egg in bator? What breed? What type of bator? Still or forced air? Temp/humidity while incubating?

The father is African and the mother is a Buff Pomeranian. The incubator is a little giant forced air I have kept the temp at a steady 99 and humidity at around 55%. A few days ago while I wasn't home the temp spiked to 106. So of they don't hatch that's probably why, but the eggs under the momma should hatch, shouldn't they?

I just set my Seebie eggs!

I worry you may be dealing with shrink wrap if you have a fan going. How many eggs are in bator? How many are you seeing any movement with? Also, we had another member earlier this week have to pull eggs from under a broody and hand hatch them because they got shrinkwrapped.

On the other hand, maintaining 55% humidity is too high for goose eggs, so there may be fluid issues inside inner membrane. If it were me, I would candle air cell to determine location and poke a small hole to shine light into inside of egg, so you can see what is going on.

Yes. But, if your temp spike was not of long duration, if the insides of the eggs didn't go over 102, you may still be ok. I've kept my humidity lower, but I'm not sure what is most appropriate. How much air did you gain? (moisture loss, increase in air cell size)

Best of luck vicki!! Leave them be for the 1st 24 hours. Then manual turn 3x a day. Keep that temp steady and humidity between 40-45%.

and weight them if you can before you start... it can give valuable information later

I have 4 in the incubator, but not seeing any movement from the goslings. The air cells are still slowly moving up though. I'll poke a hole and see what I can find. Thanks!

If you poke a hole, make sure your humidity is up to 75%.... otherwise, you will surely shrink wrap babies. Please let us know what you see!
