Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

I am VERY impressed! I candled and weighed the eggs. All have teeny intact air cells and a rich glow about them. They weigh 176, 181, 185 and 195. I plan to set them in a few hours.

She loosely wrapped each egg in large bubble wrap and then set in 45 degree angle each within their own fitted and taped box. She then had the 4 small boxes nestled so that the boxes were not touching each other in large bubble wrap in a large box.

Cute Babies!

Well, I just candled all nine goose eggs. Now its not quite a week yet, so things may still change.

Large Touslouse - 2 eggs w/ embryos that look great and big!

I hope for the other two, but I know how it is.




Sebastopol - Every single one is embryo positive!!!

And, the small extra toulouse is also embryo positive!!

- these are my first 100% embryo positive shipped eggs ever! I am way impressed and very pleased.

I better hear Celtic and Iain doing the happy dance with me!

Thanks Iain, looks like they need to be cooled longer as they are slightly behind on losing weight. Sounds like your shipper knew what she was doing when it comes to shipping her eggs. Hope they do well for you!

Yes they are not nearly as mouthy as the Africans, or as adventurous as the Sebbies just yet.

My Africans are very mouthy, both in talking to me and in wanting to eat my hair. There is one that seems bonded to me and is always wanting me to pick him up. They are adorable, but I am super excited to hatch my Toulouse eggs. Less than 2 weeks to go!

The gosling pic. I'm withholding final opiinion until I've got one in my hand, but it is possible baby geese are even cuter than baby ducks. maybe.

I'm really excited about the sebs. I know things can still go south, and odds are bad of me getting them all to hatch, but at least their is hope Ill get a curly seb! Everyting else is a bonus while I'm passing time.
