Here we go again - I'm hatching more goslings!!

Marty, I'd love to see an updated pic of the Toulouse when you can muster yourself to take it. Glad all the sebbies are alive too.

Amazingly all my cayugas are still hanging on... And seem to be building strength too.

Thanks Iain for your constant concern, and being here for me.

That is excellent. They are very very hardy, and I'm not surprised you've got some toughies there. Good luck catching them later! Oh, and the females have been known to fly, mine did. Got rid of them, the Khakis fly less, and I've never seen a Peking budge up to try yet.

My Anconas are being picked up by my sister tomarrow. I'm gonna have 12 of them and a trio of Indian Runners coming back with my mom from vising my sis in Springfield, MO. I've got just barnyard stock coming from Estes. Oh, and I called today and they are sending me 2 white turkeys, so I don't have to eat my 2 chocolate hens at Thanksgiving. If I can get them a male somewhere, I'll at least have a good trio again.

Any time!! I want you to have these babies hatch almost as much as you!

Sue, I tear off cardboard egg shells into individual containers and place goose egg upright in corners of bator. I twist the egg 180 degrees and tilt it slightly back and forth. Geese develop membrane wall much faster than ducks so usually can lay them down by halfway point.

You know, since I've got Erins eggs sitting up for 24 hours (Oh, they got here today, and good shape. All have loose air, but yolks intact), Dewlaps shipping tomarrow, and a passal of duck and chicken and quail, I'm gonna be all filled up again.

What was I thinking?

I know the feeling as I stare at 16 goose eggs on my kitchen counter, and 2 more hatch dates in the next 7 days.

So, I seriiously need to keep Goose eggs vertical to help the air cell? For how long, 14 days? Hmm..... I havn't done that yet. I just let them set, and then don't turn. I admit, I could do better maybe for Erins eggs, if there is a way. I kinda fill bad for the little guy when I think I might have to eat this poor cute little soul. i'd rather find a mate for the goose I love.

Holy moly! I know you guys have got to be exhausted after all that today. I feel like such a weenie for worrying over my hatch the other day...

I really hope everyone makes it ok!

When are we settin tge erijn eggs? Im about to candle them. They have been resting all afternoon. Fixing to set my marans.
