Marty, that is how she wraps them.... loosely in each little box. They do tend to fall over in transit, but the air cells are intact!! I am certain you will have some strong developers with her eggs!

Great, thanks Iain.

Hope work is good today. Several lawyers in my family, and a few politicians, but they loved the freedom too. I laugh to think of you with a little brooder in your office, so you can keep an eye on your babies.

I havn't candled any of Caroles eggs yet (happy to have so many) since they were set the 13th and 14th, but maybe I can see in the first batch today. I'll probobly have to borrow DD's eyes, and maybe cleann off a little dirt, but if yours were good I may let it slide. I know on my last sebbie eggs, one of them was a messy egg, and its the one that rotted and stunk up my bator room for a few days before I figured out which one it was. I was worried the dirt had introduced bacteria, but that would be hard to determine unless I wanted to investigate the insides, which I did not!

How are your "newer" batch of Carol eggs? What are your set dates for whatever eggs you have now? Its hard to keep track. In the geese, I just have the 13th and 14th now, but I'm next in line for 2-3 sebbie eggs.

I hope she squeezes out a few for me, I'm at the end of the list, but probobly next week if she keeps on laying a bit longer.

I do love making my own schedule and essentially being my own boss, although I am obviously not in control over filing deadlines and court dates, which can crop up at unfortunate times (like when I'm hatching buff dewlaps)!!

All that I have left are the two sets of grey dewlaps and erin's toulouse eggs. Today is day 8. I have 10 of 13 grey dewlaps developing and Erin's eggs are still trying to get it together. Will wait until Friday before tossing. By the way, I would not be surprised if you see beginning development with Carole's eggs today. They usually get tiny spiders by day 4!!

Then I am DONE!! In fact, I plan to probably order cayugas from Holderreads rather than trying to hatch again.

keep me posted and if you do decide to toss , and you are brave crack those open for me and tell me if they are fertilized...I may have to invest in a couple more males if mine are getting lazy...

Erin, all three look very fertile, in that it has the dark blood red ring in center of egg (which is tell tale sign of development in upright, damaged air cell eggs). Am looking to see if the veining will show up in the upper clear liquid area now. If it will happen, I'll see it within the next 48 hours.

I'm not sure why your air cells are still damaged when you packaged them so well!! I wonder if googling nutrition or something like that for producing eggs would shed some light? Also, if they are 1st/2nd year birds, that may explain some of the problems?

I'm patiently waiting to get my pair from you!
