Vent sexing does not seem easy to me. My feelings about it aside, I find it difficult to clear away all the down to get to the vent. In addition, the babies wiggle, and its tough to see if I do manage to get them still for a moment. I guess maybe a magnifyer w/a light that clips on a table might help, but getting them upside down in my hands while searching for the vent is not for the faint of heart. I did watch the Metz.. video showing ducklings.
it can be found in quart and gallon sizes. Most feed stores carry it, places online like Randall Burkey also sell it. New birds, molting birds, injured/sick birds will get a tablespoon or two over feed daily. We use it with the goats as well. Always had it available for my horses, so made sense to use it now too.
too dark, and I can't see welll. Looks like my pur americanas have got 2 going, and 2 have allrady blood ringed out.
