Heritage breed hatched July 1, big enough to eat by Nov?

If I hatched some Royal Palm types around July 1, would they be large enough by mid-November to harvest and be worthwhile.

I got more eggs, but I don't know if it's worth experimenting with - I wouldn't want to carry them through the winter.

Depends on how big you want em! They would still be pretty skinny at 5 months. A BB type would be best at this point in the year. If you fed them right then it may be OK by Christmas.

Well, I guess I could keep them into the winter, and just process as needed. Its just that the thought of having to kill, pluck, and clean a bird outside or even in a garage during a Michigan winter isn't too appealing -- it gets pretty miserable here in the winter.
