Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Tonight I grilled seasoned pork tenderloin medallions and served them with mac and cheese, and a tomato/onion/pepper/garlic/summer squash ratatouille. I am going to be so sad when my tomatoes are all gone. We're expecting a hard freeze tonight so I picked 44 tomatoes. Hopefully they will gradually ripen for me.
At least you got them. The squirrels ravaged our garden this year. Corn was taken before it fully ripened and nearly every tomato was taken just as it ripened. I managed to get some tomatoes, but not many. I certainly could have fried plenty of green tomatoes, but that's not what I wanted. I'm going to get a bit more aggressive next year. We just might end up trapping squirrels in our garden. It's not the thing I want to do, but gardening is a lot of work and we didn't get the reward this year.

@BReeder! well your crop from the garden just might have to be squirrel. I have a great recipe for squirrel sauerbraten.
Suburban squirrel for dinner... I'm not certain. I always said that if I eat squirrel it would have to be from a wild environment like the middle of a forest because I don't want to be eating a walking twinky filled with plastic and garbage.

btw, frozen pizza AGAIN... :thI was busy doing yard work and was supposed to go do a sidejob so I didn't plan to cook. DS went to my parents because their township is trick-or-treating today instead of yesterday. DW is taking care of DD (newborn) and was going to scrounge leftovers. The sidejob got postponed until tomorrow, and now that I'm home I wish I planned dinner.

It made for a good meal and quality family time. That's what dinner should be.
Totally agree :)

tonight is marinated chicken thighs (orange/lemon zest, honey, garlic/ginger etc stuff) air-fried taters and slaw for DW

I also made bread from semolina flour (no strong flour in my neck of the woods) which turned out ok.
