Could have "try something new" night.
We had chinese night last night. I made prawns with snowpeas and water chestnuts, steamed rice, fried rice, fried noodles, miso soup and a green salad with toasted sesame seed oil dressing. Most of the vegetables came from our garden. I only had to buy the prawns and the water chestnuts. Everything else was on hand. for desert we had sugared strawberries over homemade pound cake. An aunt had made the pound cake and the strawberries had been given to us by FIL.
I once mentioned to FIL that we can always use rice, so he brings us plenty of white rice. We probably have enough for at least a year.
I would buy brown rice, but since we have the white, I use it.
I took ground beef out for tonight's dinner. I'm thinking of making spaghetti, unless SO decides to cook.
Whatever we're having, there'll be a salad. About three weeks ago we had to harvest all our lettuce, because the field got plowed. We cleaned it and stored it in plastic bags in the fridge. It is holding up quite well.
