BYB, Ams and cknmom thank you so much for your kindness.
I am so proud of him for not being afraid to get out there and be in the spot light, even if he has to limp to it. He just says "well I would be playing if I could so I have to do something." I am so grateful to the wonderful students, teachers, coaches, friends and the community.
Everyone is so understanding. There was a new student last year that decided to call him the R word and tease him. Well in no time he had 3 boys corner him on the play ground and inform him otherwise
! On the school bus there was a boy teasing him. As soon as the bus driver found out (from another rider) he told the child he could not ride the bus for 2 weeks and it better not happen again. There is has been no tolerance for teasing.
The high light of his day yesterday was when the players walked by him to the locker room the all said hi or high fived him! He was just giddy when he was telling me this.
Dinner tonight is chicken salad. DH won't be home until after 9, so I will probably eat without him.
I hope you all had a wonderful Friday.
