Hi everyone. It looks like things are heating up in Millie Cochin world. I’ve got to get some pictures of my newest chicks. I’ve been getting quite a few chicks form my 3G’s that are starting out with really light down and then exploding with buff, red and black feathering. In the past generations, most of my chicks have been more of the partridge coloring at first. I’ll try and take some pictures of them soon. I’ve got chicks coming out my ears right now so I’m constantly cleaning pens and cages and moving them all around. I really need to focus my efforts on one breed…..but it’s too much fun.)

Doc, I really want to see your Pictures. I’m interested in how your youngsters have matured.

Erin, thanks for the updated pictures as well. I’ve got a Roo that looks almost identical to your dark one. I’ve ended up with him, a dark Pullet and a really nice Buff Pullet that’s coloring out nice from Lynne’s eggs. I’m really excited to use them in with my Millies this fall.

Hippiechick, They are soooo adorable. It's amazing how much fluff they have already. ...Im so jealous of all of you with your good cameras... I think I know what I want for Christmas..

Doc, the color is coming in so nice so fast... make sure to keep us posted.

Thanks, Erin. But it's not a fancy camera at all-it's a Kodak Easy Share 8 megapixel. I've got a really nice, way more expensive Sony, but I always seem to grab the Kodak. It's so easy.

And guess what. I've got a pip this morning in my Millies!

What are yours looking like?

I have a kodak easyshare too.. it's a 12 mp!! AHHH!! My old one worked so much better. This one focuses on the background. It has so many scene selections but I always use auto.. I think that's the problem...

Anyway, I hear all kinds of peeping in the bator. I know two pipped the air cells yesterday. They were shook up really bad during transit and the air cells are 45-65% of the entire shell. ... so Im going to keep a close eye and may help if nothing by tomorrow.

I have rosecomb eggs that are due the same day and two have pipped... one zipped. These are very special to me as well as my fave hen passed away on Mother's Day

I miss her so much but thank you Jesus I had 15 eggs set aside for the bator.

Let's keep in touch:)

I know what you mean-I always use auto too. Just lazy, I guess-or wayyy too busy!

So sorry about your little Rosecomb hen. Thanks goodness you've got some of her babies. Hope you have a great hatch-on those and the little Millies!

Paula
