(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am completely new to chickens and just received my week old chicks yesterday evening!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have decided to start with 10 chicks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We have Rhode Islands
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I am excited to have fresh eggs and maybe potentially more chicks. Also just the idea of having more pets =D
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Some hobbies of mine include horse back riding, hiking, camping, basically being outside as much as possible. I’m a big fan of horse racing. A girly aspect is I like to play with makeup.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a newlywed to my wonderful husband, we bought our first house on acreage last August! We have 3 horses and 3 dogs and now our chickens. I work full time as a scheduler for a hospital but also go to school part time.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC while googling some questions and decided to joinQ
