Hi from a newbie in Ohio

I just wanted to pop in and say hello.
I do not currently have any chickens.
I am still trying to find out all the "laws".
I think i will still get them even if i find
out they are not allowed. just gotta get
hubby on board...lol. my children sure want
them. I am in central ohio so if anyone
knows any laws for sure please let me know!

We aren't allowed to have them either, but neighbors on all sides said "OK" so we went for it! Love those chick-chicks!!

Im from central ohio too. I have 51 chickens currently and all of the neighbors love the fresh eggs. What part of central ohio are you from?

Good luck with getting your chickens. They are great to have. I live in the suburbs and did get the "OK" from my neighbors since they aren't alllowed here ( Need 5 acres ) however, one made a complaint for one reason or another, ( I think it's because he's put his house on the market ) and the town made me remove mine. Tonight I go and fight the town to let me have them back. Wish us luck.

Just find out your town rules, see if you can get a variance if they don't and make a good case. Do you have a boy scout? 4-H 'er? You can use these as possible reason's.
