Just in case no one has heard of this place, think Asheville, then head towards TN. You'll run into us along the way. Am I Bonnie? Naw. Bonnie is our very first hen and she is the head nugget in our coop. She's a black sexlink and I love her so much she'll retire here and die of old age, fat and sassy. I don't know quite what happened. My children and I had moved to the country four years before I got the notion to buy a chicken. It was on a whim too. I couldn't resist the cute faces at our local Coop and ended up with a couple of chicks. It never dawned on me I would enjoy them so much that I decided that I would expand our chicken family and end up building a larger, fancier coop along the way. We now have a whole brood just waiting for the new place and I can't wait until it's finished.
