Hi I'm Tarina and I am a new chicken mom

Has he been on the soil outside up until he became sick? Can you get some Corid? It wouldn't hurt to start treating him for coccidiosis. That can't hurt. Get the liquid Corid at most any feed store. A drench dose with the Corid water solution is what I suggest. If this is coccidiosis you would see almost immediate improvement.

Is this what you mean? And add it to the food I'm feeding him?

Thank you for clarifying

I would not give him coconut oil. I am not sure why you are using it if he has no crop impaction. He is very cyanosis or blue in his comb. I agree that he may have a heart issue or severely dehydrated. The Corid is given in his water 2 tsp of the liquid or 1.5 tsp of the powder per gallon of water for 5 days. You can additionally give him 1/2 tsp orally of the undiluted Corid once a day in addition, as a drench. Being new, he may have coccidiosis from the new soil.

No, that's a vitamin supplement for sick chickens, Corid is a coccidiostat that deprives a parasite of vitamin B-1 to eliminate them from a chicken's intestines. You can buy it on Amazon if you can't get it locally. https://www.amazon.com/Boehringer-Ingelheim-Corid-Oral-Solution/dp/B07QW9159N/ref=sr_1_1?crid=DYEFMKY1QQWI&keywords=corid+for+chickens+liquid&qid=1699111683&sprefix=Corid,aps,429&sr=8-1
I called tractor supply they do have it. I don't thinknit was coming up in my search. I'm going to get the liquid and the pellets as I found worms in their poop while cleaning out the coop and run. I'm going to treat all of them. Thank you so much

Yes, get the Safeguard, too. Worming and treating for coccidia parasites can safely be done together.

Glad you can get the Corid. @Eggcessive gave you the instructions for administering Safeguard. Here is what to do with the Corid, and I suggest you treat all of your chickens with both. Mix up one gallon of water with two teaspoons liquid Corid mixed in. Mix fresh daily. (Cut down the proportions if you have a very small flock.) Give them this for five straight days. Stop it for one week, and do five more days of Corid in the drinking water.

In addition to that, for any sick or lethargic chickens, you will give the drench dose for three straight days. You will need a slender oral syringe. For a regular size chicken, the dose is .5ml undiluted Corid directly into the beak once a day for three days. Do it like this. Be sure to insert the syringe on the right side of the mouth as the esophagus leading to the crop is on the right side of the throat. (Chicken's right side.) This way you avoid risk of it going into the airway which is right behind the tongue in the center of the throat.

You don’t want worm pellets, if that is what you meant. Get the horse paste or liquid goat wormer by SafeGuard. Dosage is 1/4 tsp per pound daily for 5 days.
Okay. I had to get some stuff done in the coop. And when I came back he was chatting his beak and thick mucous coming out of his mouth

I started with four Mullens and two got out and lost during a storm, So I had two left, I just added two RI Red hens and a roo, and two silkie hens and a roo. My mother laughed at me when I said I was getting chickens because I was terrorized by chickens when I was young. LOL but I love these guys, I hand feed them and they also roam free over the property all day long. I have two cats and a stray that also keep watch over them. Today I went out after opening the run and my RI Roo was just laying there almost lifeless. I have been trying all day to get him to eat, he is standing on his own now and I have been able to feed him some egg and cheese, and some high protein flock feed, as well as water. His poop is watery and white. I was trying to find a poop guide to see what might be wrong with him, and suggestions would be super helpful. And no none of the other chickens are exhibiting these symptoms they all seem very well.
Update. His head is very hot. He is chattering his beak like a kid when their cold. Think stringy mucous coming out of his beak and his iris is spazing out like it gets wide then smal but really quickly. Idk if I'm making him worse .
