Grumbling, Taylor looked at the bill and sighed. She signed the bottom fished out her wallet to pay. Passing the bill back to the lady along with the correct amount of money, she left a couple dollars on the table as a tip. "You're so mean.." She sighed dramatically. "Whoops there goes the money I was spending on your Christmas present."
~~~
"Do Oilins live longer than the average person? Can they expand their life span with magic?" She asked curiously, leaning back on the couch.
~~~
"Well then." Axel stood, brushing off his hands,"I'll tell you if I have any weird dreams. We leave in an hour with Team Beta. We need to move quickly and quietly, so I'm not bringing too many people. In the meantime, might I suggest you freshen up a bit?" He coughed slightly. He was definitely referring to Aesacus' long matted mane of hair. The other wasn't allowed near sharp objects. Aesacus gave him a grateful nod,"Thank would be wonderful, thank you. The sooner the better." Axel gave the guards a small nod and they escorted Aesacus away to do what Axel had requested. Axel stood up, rubbing the back of his head. He was destined to succeed. That was some pretty good stuff.
(Ugggghhh I realllllly want to tell someone my secret plan but then it wouldn't be a secret so I can't :/ )

"How soon you forget. You were bribing me so I'd cook tomorrow night. So that guilt trip won't work." Nashton said as he stood up and waited for Taylor to join him before heading for the door.
~~~
Orson nodded, "Yes, they must. Because I'm quite older then my appearance reveals. But as far as how this new bonded souls works, I'm uncertain. We're in new territory on that front. We'll have to try and do research to find if this has ever happened before. " He said thoughtfully.
~~~
(Lol! You can always tell me. I'll keep it a secret. *laughs evilly* JK! Don't tell! I like surprises. ;) )
"But Nashton!" Taylor whined teasingly, following him,"You should cool every night because you love me so. Don't you agree?" She held open the door for him.
~~~~
"Oh really? It's not that much of a surprise to me. You can act much older than me sometimes. It makes me feel like a child." She scratched the back of her neck and looked up at him with a small smile,"You don't mind if I'm not quite as wise as you, do you? I hope you don't. I tend to get sidetracked easily... Is that a bad thing?" She pushed her glasses back up her nose, trying to focus on their present conversation,"As for research, I'm not exactly sure I'm the most qualified for the job. Research preformed on yourself always seems to get incorrect results because you effect the output. You wouldn't happen to know another person that's qualified for that type of work?"
Half an hour later, Aesacus was ready to go. His hair had been clipped down to a length that the hairdresser had deemed 'very appropriate for this time period'. Personally Aesacus found it rather odd, but he hadn't been out of this compound in twenty five years. Maybe things had changed since the early nineties. His extensive beard had also been trimmed down to nothingness. Poor beard. His clean-shaven face made him feel like a baby. Apparently Axel also found his change rather astonishing because when Aesacus arrived at his office, Axel gave him a small nod of approval,"Back to the twenty first century, I see. Thank you for not, you know, impaling your hairdresser or something of the like." Aesacus gave him a small nod, obviously not aware this was meant to be sarcasm,"I try not to kill people on weekdays. Weekdays already hard enough."
Hearing his triumphant roar, Slygotha arose from the river bottom like a long forgotten Leviathan, her head bursting to the surface with little rivulets pouring from her thick black hide. Seeing the humans and their tools, she emitted an angry growl that echoed deep in her chest, her thin lips pulled back as the acid leaked in steaming drops from her toothy maw. Her colorful crest flared tall, her eyes flashed and narrowed dangerously. She didn't like to feel threatened. The wyrmlings were a little startled by the whole thing, and Gugol and Nidhogg swam warily towards their father, chirruping questions cautiously.
The poachers made various sounds of fear, while one prayed quietly. Reaper looked to his magnificent Slygotha in her display of aggression and maternal protection. He answered their inquiring chirruping to explained what the human men were in terms they'd understand.
Aurienne looked to Kyth questioningly, but said nothing. She didn't want to freak out before judging how odd of an action that was. Instead she waited in the hope that it wouldn't be as scary as it sounded.
( Did you want her to have a tracking chip? )
When the elevator dinged and opened, Maxwell was waiting on them. He smiled reassuringly at Aurienne and held up the scanner. "The scanning is painless. I assure you, miss." He said. He looked to Kyth and saw the scrambler in his hand and smiled. Kyth stated as he moved to follow him, "I picked it up at the front desk, just to be safe."
(Umm, sure. Why not? :p )
Aurienne watched Maxwell cautiously as he held up the scanner, but didn't object. "What are you expecting to find?" She asked curiously moving closer to Kyth as Maxwell finished.
Anna smiled at the hyenas that came through behind her "It's alright, explore a little if you want. This is probably the safest place in the universe right now and all it would take is a phone call to bring us back to Earth...literally." She said with a chuckle at the inadvertent joke once she heard herself say it.
"That is why I made this place...though they did give me an idea for the next building. I wonder if one of them would like to plan that out with me. Some kind of command center near the portal, or even over it to have a pause before you see this world, hm" Jackie said, gazing over at the portal in thought now.
~~~
Fay nodded as she looked around "Yes, though a human is the one that made it magical in the literal sense, before her. it was just another forest. Magic calls to magic though, that is one reason so many mythicals found their way to it, even when they didn't think there was a reason."
~~~
"Oh?" Foneth looked at the tree then at the portal before smiling happily "Good, I hoped they hadn't been lost for good. Do they like their realm? Are they staying there or will they return to Anstrophia? Can we see their realm?" As much as he had been curious about this place, she was curious about the outside and Ettance.
~~~

Sorcha blushed a little at all the attention on her and move closer to Racine, taking his arm in her hands for assurance, though she kept her outward posture showing happiness and calm for the most part. She had not expected to tell Avalon in front of a crowd.
~~~
Starr chuckled and nodded then looked ahead as they came to the throne room, where Nabal was sitting and reading over some paperwork.
The queen raised her head as the two were announced and smiled gently at them "Good morning"
~~~

Shaylee was about to make another angry retort when Pariah said that about Danika. She paled and her jaw dropped open in shock. No, they couldn't have harmed the child like that. "Lies" The one weak word was all she could get out before shaking her head and looking away as much as she could. She couldn't believe anything like that

"Thank you, Alpha Anna." The hyenas said before they shifted. They then hyena laughed at her joke, before slowly moving to the treeline. Already playing like carefree pups.

Zypher looked back at the portal in thought of the last option. He nodded thoughtfully and stated, "It would make it easier to defend, should something or someone tried to force their way in. Very good thinking." His eye drifted over to Anna as she spoke with the hyenas. Then caught sight of Cadeon and Bob. He smiled in greeting to them.
~~~
Gammr understood the logic of that. She'd see it time and time again. It was almost a drawing force. "Yes, and once that secret was learned, it was to their detriment. Man is an opportunist and exploits are nature's against us." She said almost bitterly.
~~~
Ender chuckled at Foneth's eagerness. "Now, now. The answers to those questions are still mostly unknown. I was called away to come here soon after queen Nabal came to Anstrophia to visit. There was a small Fae entourage that went to visit Ettence, I believe they called it." He explained. He then added, "The Balors queen did offer to assist me with figuring out what had happened to me. She is very kind and understanding. "
~~~
Racine instinctually offered comfort to his new wife. Covering her hand with one of his own upon his arm. He leaned in and kissed her cheeks softly and whispered, "I love you, my beloved queen."
Avalon saw Sorcha drawing closer to Racine and his reaction to it. She guessed as to why, as she looked out to the gathered royals and said pleasantly, " I shall let you all go to make the necessary preparations, as well as soread the word if the festivities tonight. For Tonight's feast will not be soon forgotten! In our histories or the next! "
There were riotous cheers and applause as they started filing out the doors.
Avalon turned back to her brother and Sorcha and smiled softly.
~~~
Falkirk bowed with a flourish. "Good morning to you, your grace. It is a beautiful day in your kingdom." He said politely.
~~~
Pariah smiled happily and shrugged, "You'll see soon enough. " She said smartly. She then turned to the door as Markus walked in. "Oh! But he has the proof in his hand! How convenient." She said then looked to Shaylee again.
"But Nashton!" Taylor whined teasingly, following him,"You should cool every night because you love me so. Don't you agree?" She held open the door for him.
"You forget Taylor, I already cook every night for the alphas. Since Luce left with Jason, that's my job, now." Nashton reminded gently. He grinned at her as she opened the door for him. He liked that about her, she wasn't a traditionalist. "Thank you maam." He said with a cowboy like draw.
~~~
Orson twirled with everything he had. His mate was always doubting herself. He smiled as he turned his full attention upon his little Kristen. "I'm sure your credentials and qualifications for quite exemplary to work for Markus in his Menagerie. Why know do you think so less of your abilities? " he countered patiently.

(Umm, sure. Why not? :p )
Aurienne watched Maxwell cautiously as he held up the scanner, but didn't object. "What are you expecting to find?" She asked curiously moving closer to Kyth as Maxwell finished.

Kyth and Maxwell shared a look, before looking to Aurienne as the scanner beeper at the detection of a tracking chip. The next thing Maxwell asked Aurienne was, "Are you a friend to Moonhaven or Menagerie? "

Kyth tensed slightly, in preparation of her answer. Did he bring a spy to their home? He didn't even know if she was a shifter. He'd suspected as much, when he'd found out that she was living in the alleyway. That and her eyes hid something pretty profound behind them. Or was it just his wishful thinking?"

The poachers made various sounds of fear, while one prayed quietly. Reaper looked to his magnificent Slygotha in her display of aggression and maternal protection. He answered their inquiring chirruping to explained what the human men were in terms they'd understand.

Slygotha wanted to eat them herself, but since they had been capsized and were completely at their mercy, she agreed that they would be a good gauge for their little ones to get a taste of a more dangerous foe than rats and fish, even if they were tired. Opportunities should not be wasted. So, to demonstrate for her attentive young audience, Slygotha grabbed one of the humans up in her claws so she could use it as a prop, explaining various parts and the best places to most efficiently incapacitate or kill or both. The man wriggled and writhed about, yelling for help and pleading, but Slygotha felt about him as a cat would a mouse. She finally snapped his neck, showing the wyrmlings the easiest way to kill most animals that have a tendency to fight back.

Reaper made sure the others didn't get far as the other humans heard their friend's pleading. As the splashed blindly for the shore, he'd pick them up and bring them back to the capsized boat. Nevitha was nibbling at the boots of the now death human that her mother held in her talons. Razeth caught blood droplets in his mouth and tasted the new food type.

Gugol liked these squishy humans. She may be the size of a medium dog, but these people were so fragile and sensitive. After carefully watching Slygotha poke and prod the example human, Gugol decided to try taking one herself. She circled around it in the water, observing its reactions carefully. It was trying to slap the water and wave her off, but after the previous demonstration by Slygotha, Gugol realized that it couldn't hurt her in its current state unless it got ahold of her, so she kept circling until she managed to get behind the human, reaching her jaws around the backside if its neck and biting down for all she was worth. The warm blood filled her mouth as a tooth nicked the carotid artery on one side and a sickening crunch was heard. Nidhogg preferred to circle in the air above the chaos, observing. She decided she wasn't ready for such prey yet.
