"Uh," She said with a sly smile.
The girl moved towards the sound of the unfamiliar voice. "Hello? I've been locked in a cell and can't get out." Lowering her voice she continued, "You must enter the police station and let me out."
Astrid giggled and watched him with curiosity.

Buchanan sighed, but continued. "What if we adopted the girl? She could be like a.. a... our daughter." He looked up at her to watch her response.

Sonora helped her carry the food to their table, which was just out of sight of the window so that anyone passing by wouldn't see them.

"Ok," She smiled comfortingly as she patiently waited. Her heart raced at the sight of the men pointing their weapons at Navar. She tried the door but it wouldn't budge. She wanted so badly to run to him and talk them men out of whatever they had planned to do to him. Breathing deeply she tried to calm, but couldn't help sigh relief when they let Navar come back to her. "I'm so glad you're ok, I thought they might hurt you." Her voice was soft as she gave him a quick hug. Nothing made sense to her, but she thought that humans were all dangerous. Still she thought he had taken her to a hospital, not even suspecting in the least bit that he had brought her into a trap.
Raine Raven laughed again as he looked up at Astrid from the ground. He then transformed into his human form. "Hello, beautiful." He said with a smile from the flat of his back.

Carrow smiled, "That is a wonderful idea. I would love to adopt her. I was never letting her out of my life, anyway. But what if she doesn't want us to adopt her. We can't force her, Buchanan. We need to ask her, what she wants, first." Carrow said thoughtful, as she poured the now warm milk into a mug.

Keira sat down with her back to the wall and her eye on the door. She had noted all ways to exit, in case they were ambushed. She then slowly picked up her coffee and took a slow steady sip. She closed her eyes at the rich aroma and strong flavor. "Just what I needed to calm my frazzled nerves." She said joyfully.

Navar was taken back by the warm embrace and her whispered words. It was as if a knife had been turned in his heart. That was the moment he realized his mistake. This one, was costing him a piece of his soul. He should have listened to Zypher, and took the girl and ran. She smiled nicely at her and said, " No, in quite alright. They will help you here. They are familiar with our kind. Come, let's go meet Markus."
Markus stood were he had been. He stared intently at the passenger side door. He couldn't see a thing, because of the door. But as Navar shut the door, he got his first glimpse of the girl. He was stunned by her radiant beauty. Her hair sparked in the sunlight. He held his ground and waited for Navar to bring her over. He put on his best smile.
