(Sure, they can start out the next evening, just after sunset. )
Slygotha awoke with a long, catlike stretch, her time worn maw opening like a tooth lined pit. Flattening her frills, she rubbed her itchy scales along the rough cavern walls. She was going into a molt. Nothing like a boatload of stress to send one into a molt, she thought. The rest had done a world of good, and the molt would freshen her scales up anyways. Nobody ever said she wasn't vain. Grunting, the grey dead scales flaked off, revealing fresh, shiny black ones underneath, soft and pliable. They would harden over the course of several days, but all the old battle damage would be gone. She lifted her wings to scratch underneath, sending scales clattering about the cave with a wierd echo. She grunted with the pleasure that comes with satisfying a very itchy place.
Nidhogg watched with curiosity. She had molted several times during her rapid growth, but she had not seen broodmother do it yet.

Trogdor sobbed, then whispered to his dad," Daddy, I wanna go home. Can we please go home now dad?" He sniffled as he watched Reaper's face carefully, gauging the answer.

"It should prove exciting, nonetheless. I look forward to assisting in any way I can," Asclepius said with a grin a bow. "Especially if such lovelies as yourself will be there to rescue."

Valstrath and Razeth watched her with equal fascination. They tipped their heads first one way, then the other.

Reaper simply cleaved to his son and said gently, "No my son. We cannot go home just yet. We must be strong and survive this first."

Xatia smiled at Asclepius's words. "Aw but what if it is I who saves you from peril? Can your ego coincide with that reality?" She countered carefully. She was too much a warrior to play the Damsel in Distress.
(I know it short, I'm sorry. It's just I've been away and have to get back into these characters again.)

Logan looked at the ones between them then snorted and waded into the fight, biting paws and whatever else he could reach, uncaring if they were male or female. He was finally allowed to fight, so he was going to fight. That was his job after all, being a soldier, not really a leader.

Kali growled, hackles rising as the male approached. She was related to the alphas and wouldn't go down without a fight. She darted in, aiming for his throat since she wished to end this fight fast., there were so many of them.

Hunter snorted at that "They made you an alpha? Ha." He said then looked around at the others, preparing to fight. He, like the others knew many ways of fighting, including many forms of martial arts.

Anna looked back then reached back to run her hand over the collar, searching for the clasp and the keyhole without being able to see it from her seat.

Aeval clawed and bit at the brutes keeping her in the corner. Those were her friends and she wanted to help them. Why wasn't her collar off! It was not a fair fight. "Let me out!!!" One of the males got a blank look. When he nodded he turned and struck Aeval just right in order to knock her out cold. With the regular wolves surrounded or focused on other matters, the male scooped Aeval up and headed to the door with her. Once there, he passed her off to another as the door opened and closed again. Dominic wanted her safe and with him, for he has big plans for the dragoness.

Ayko wanted Kali to lunge, it was a trap with the use of her wolf's instincts against her. For as she went for his throat, he shot a clawed foot up and grabbed her neck. Mindful of his sharp talons as the tips slightly pierced her skin. "Now that's not nice. But obviously expected. I'm called Ayko. Where you can't speak in wolf form, I can see into your mind with my touch. Now submit to me, pushka." He explained as his eyes glowed with the mind link.

Nina turned on Logan as he bit her shoulder. All teeth and challenge for the attack.

"They didn't make me anything, boy. I killed for it. Just as I'll kill you, if you don't learn your place. Best get to placing, they grow impatient with your delay." Nikolai replied with a fierce snarl.

Garmr shook her head as she watched Anna. "I don't see anything that even represents a keyhole on this collar." She said a bit defeated.

At that, Zypher slammed on the gas pedal, they had to get Aurora to Jackie's and fast. He waved through traffic on the freeway, back to the heart of the city and their sanctuary.

Seshsais sat quietly as she watched the gazing pool that the Fae had conjured up. It showed parts of Anstopfia but not all. Much to her annoyance. She growled and glared up to Vatgkak and demanded, "What good are landscapes to me? I need to see the palace to plot an attack! That you can't even give me. Why did I save the worthless hide? You were so both full of your attributes, but I find them severely lacking now. Perhaps we will eat you next."

Vatgkak swallowed hard and stammered inaudibly before he managed to form some words, " Exalted one, there are limitations to all magic, including my own. They put up wards when King Racine returned and was to attack the castle."

Zaasth simply looked from one to the other as he listened quietly. He was a strategist and was forming a viable option of attack. He'd witnessed the great dragons waking the Sylph's and teaching them their magic in his surveillance of that enemy. Whether or not they were smart enough to translate the message they had left the queen in the dungeon was still yet undetermined. But the Fae were definitely preparing for battle and calling in favors as they did so. They'd lost their element of surprise saving those meat suits from that dungeon. They should have attacked then. For Vatgkak was proving not worth the effort in his opinion, especially since they seemed incapable of advancing their campaign.

Seshsais shot Zaasth an impatient look sensing his turbulent thoughts. "Do you have something to say to this Zaasth? If so, enlighten me to you thoughts." She instructed sternly.

" Nothing that would be favourably aired. So I choose to hold my tounge and keep it." Zaasth stated matter-of-factly.

Aeval clawed and bit at the brutes keeping her in the corner. Those were her friends and she wanted to help them. Why wasn't her collar off! It was not a fair fight. "Let me out!!!" One of the males got a blank look. When he nodded he turned and struck Aeval just right in order to knock her out cold. "We can't risk anything happening to Jackie. She's far to valuable to the cause. Xavier however isn't." Zypher stated. He slowed as he exited the freeway. They were close. He glanced back at Aurora to check on her and was taken back by what he saw, she was gray haired now.

Dominic stood at the strangeness of the creature that decimated his pack like it was nothing. "Мой бог, что ты?" (My god, what are you?) He had to stop it before it killed them all. He opened the small door so they could escape. The ones that were left didn't hesitate to seek the reprieve form the thorn wolf. He simply stared at the monitors with fascination. He gained a bigger prize then he'd ever expected. The ultimate wolf and weapon.

Kali paced back and forth in front of the door once the pack had escaped. She kept coming back to it and clawing at it then packing some more.

Logan and Hunter had backed off, shifting to their human forms and watching her worriedly. After a while, Hunter stepped closer "Kali? Come back pup, you need to calm down again." He said, spreading his hands when the fae wolf turned to look at him. "Shh, do you remember your first hut? I know it is a thrill, but you must take back your human form now." He tried to calm her down, but Kali wasn't listening, turning to tear into and pile the bodies of the pack against one wall.

"Drogo" Kali said, raising her head to look up at the cameras before repeating herself "Drogo." She then growled and attacked the camera. She couldn't return to her human form yet, it was like she had forgotten how. That and the rush of anger, the ability to fight better than she ever had before...she didn't want to give up this form. It was almost intoxicating, certainly addictive, at least to her it was.

Anna nodded and glanced back then bit at her lip and looked forward again. Magic was scary and strange, that was for certain. That's why she didn't trust what she didn't know yet. She hoped they could save Aurora before it was too late.

Aurora had noticed their looks and made herself open her eyes more, patting Garmr's leg gently to let her know she was still 'here' and awake.

Kali paced back and forth in front of the door once the pack had escaped. She kept coming back to it and clawing at it then packing some more.

Logan and Hunter had backed off, shifting to their human forms and watching her worriedly. After a while, Hunter stepped closer "Kali? Come back pup, you need to calm down again." He said, spreading his hands when the fae wolf turned to look at him. "Shh, do you remember your first hut? I know it is a thrill, but you must take back your human form now." He tried to calm her down, but Kali wasn't listening, turning to tear into and pile the bodies of the pack against one wall.

Aurora had noticed their looks and made herself open her eyes more, patting Garmr's leg gently to let her know she was still 'here' and awake.

Dominic looked to Viktor when one of the cameras was destroyed. "We need to get those other wolves away from her, isolated her. Divide and conquer in its deadliest sense." He said with conviction.

"How do you suggest I accomplish that?" Viktor asked quietly, while he was still staring at the screen of the other video feeds.

"Use the girl of course. " Dominic said as he pointed with his chin to Aeval who was now chained to the wall sobbing quietly on a mattress.

Nikolai looked to the pack he had left. Their numbers cut in half and a few were still dying horribly. Contorting in agony and foaming at the mouth before succumbing to death. What was that thing? Was it Markus's newest creation? He thought as he looked to the door that separated them form it.

Eirik came over to him and sobbed, "My mate is dead, I will avenge her."

"We lost many this day. Go seek comfort from the bereaved. I must collect my thoughts about this enemy. " Nikolai replied.

Garmr smiled gently to Aurora for the reassuring gesture. But she was like the others, worried that they wouldn't make it in time. As Zypher took corners on a rail, Garmr moved to take her friend in her arm to hold her safely through the duration of their navigating your city.

Zypher sped into the parking garage and squealed to a stop practically in front of the elevator. He looked to the wolves who were waiting on them and moved to help , then scooped Aurora up into his arms to carry her to the open elevator. He knew the other under time was of the essence here.

Markus stood silently as he watched the doctors working on the young dragon. She was badly damaged internally and it was taking what remained of his best surgical team to save her. He tensed as he felt Parish snake a hand up his back. "Lover, you can't still be sulking because I didn't let you go back. It was a lost cause. Besides, I made you a better fortress. Why wouldn't you look at me? Why wouldn't you open your mind to me?" Markus sent a glare her way and said with venom, "My father's and my hard work is lost forever. No amount of gold or gems can compensate for that loss. Do you realize how long it took to amass that amount of DNA samples? And let's not forget get the the holy grail of my collection, the magic in the blood of the last pure unicorn. The key to making them all shifters!"

"I told you I'd get you more. I'll get that one horned nag for you. I just need to catch those Fae first. They are key to Anstopfia. Patience Markus, to rush things is to error. Soon enough they'll come to us and when they do will be ready. I have big plans for Kellan. That Manticore is powerful. " Pariah assured him.

"You best be right, because as it stands we are losing this war. I want those responsible for Menagerie dead!" Markus said with hatred.

Kali finally settled when there was nothing left to destroy and she needed a break to catch her breath. It was only then that she seemed to see Hunter and Logan, standing together. She blinked and started towards them only to collapse, slipping into sleep as she shifted to her normal wolf form. She was one of the few that had been born a wolf and had had to learn to take human form afterwards instead of the reverse that most had, which was why Hunter treated her differently.

Hunter and Logan rushed over once she had fallen, bringing her over to a clear place to sit with her and try to clean her up a little.

Aurora looked at Zypher when he lifted her up, patting his shoulder and holding on "Don't look so scared pup, I'm not done for yet." She said, trying to joke a little.

Anna followed with Garmr, leaving the car to be parked by the others as they raced for the portal to the other realm.
