Hilarious rooster behavior!!! Why does he do that?

My younger rooster Tom tries to impress the ladies, but he doesn't always get how to do it. He sees Eric (the head rooster) call the hens for food or treats, so he knows to make the call and bob his head all excited. But, he's usually doing it for a pebble or something like that, not a tasty yummy treat. The hens just kind of blow him off.

Eric appreciates it when I hand feed him when I'm giving things like bread. I break off a piece and feed it to him, then he gives it to a hen. That way he gets to dole out the treats and be the Big Provider. I think it's adorable. He also really works the wattles--he's straight combed and has huge wattles. He bobs his head and shakes those bright red wattles to get the hens' attention. Poor pea combed Tom doesn't have the wattles to shake and call attention to himself.

Fred, my sizzle rooster, frequently trips over his own wing when dancing for his girls. He also mistakes things for a hen and dances for stuff in the yard i.e. the coop, a rock, a post, anything that he happens to run into. Poor guy can't see through his head feathers.

I got him from a breeder in my area. They aren't a recognized breed yet but are well on their way.
