Hilarious rooster behavior!!! Why does he do that?

Good morning I was just wondering what exactly is considered aggressive rooster behavior. I have an EE bantam cockerel Lil Jon & an EE standard cockerel Sanchez Peepers (almost 14weeks old).
Lil Jon is waaaaay more dominant and rooster like. He crows and makes all rooster sounds and he does rooster wing dance. Plus he LOOOOVES mating with my hens who are three times bigger than him.
Anyhow I've been trying to make all my chickens tame. I haven't had either rooster challenge me at all and I handle them often. Buuuut lil Jon will crow while I'm carrying him around and he will mate right in front of me. I keep stopping him to show I'm the dominate one & they are my hens. Now I'm not sure if that's necessary. Do those behaviors count as aggressive ???

Those behaviors just show that he doesn't consider you to be head rooster. They arent aggression. My roo always did that but he never challenged me. As long as he doesn't try anything with you it should be fine. Just make sure you never allow him to dance for you or try to mate your leg/foot. That's unacceptable. But crowing or mating the girls is ok as long as he knows not to challeng you

Ok i was thinking its like he knows not to mess with people but wants every chicken within hearing to know he is BOSS in my flock. Of course several of my hens remind him daily that they don't care what he thinks. Thanks for info

Yeah wouldn't want to let the girls know that the human is in charge :) I have a hen too who daily fake squats for my roo and the bucks him off as soon as he's on her. I think she does it just for fun

I am a first time chicken mama and I have spent lots of time observing and enjoying the sometimes hilarious stuff they do. Our rooster, Bach, thinks highly of himself and he of course shows off for his girls. When we first let them out in the mornings, he does his mating dance, but it looks like he is pitching a tantrum. He stomps his feet and circles around his beloved and dips his wing, but the thing that comes to mind as we watch him is a three year old in Wal-Mart having a fit lol. We made up a song about it ( am a musician and my husband is not a professional but he has a good ear). These words fit "Ta ra ra boom de ay"...

The little stompie dance
He hops and stomps and rants
It means he wants romance
The little stompie dance

He wants to nail a hen
He just did it again
He got him some romance
The little stompie dance

Bach is a good boy. Looks after his girls diligently, makes sure they have treats and tidbits before he will eat, protects them from anything he perceives as a predator, etc. He will eat out of my hand and is mostly a sweetie, but boy is he funny :)
