UGghhhh... the thought of pulling on tapeworms to see if they are "stretchy" is more than my stomach can handle. Urk. You may have to send these "tapeworms" to a lab to find out if they contain rubber or worm!

I don't think a tape worm would be rubbery, stretchy and look identical to old rubberbands. I looked at the thing close and feel confident that it isn't a tape worm.

I asked DH about it and he said it as in the white part of the egg.

Well he found it in a fried egg, not a raw egg, My guess the rubber band was stuck on the egg turner, and got in the egg after he cracked it.

Or your DH , really like to PULL your leg.

Anyway, it got in the egg after it was cracked...............It would had to be planted in the hen before she made the egg....

Never mind got it, Your rooster was just having safe sex, with a poor fit. Need to get him the proper size........

I think your husband is pulling your leg then, LOL. If you are absolutely positive that it is a rubber band, then it wasn't inside an egg. It is physically impossible. Actually, I am reluctant to say "impossible" because there is always a one in a million chance you have a chicken with some bizarre internal anatomy.

We are talking about two completely different organ systems though. A swallowed rubber band would move through the digestive tract. I can't imagine how a rubber band could magically jump through the digestive tract over into a developing egg. The two systems don't even meet until basically the cloaca/vent area. By that time, even an undeveloped egg would be surrounded by a membrane. It is just not physically possible. Is your husband by chance over in a corner giggling right now? LOL
