The digestive tract does not connect to the oviduct. They are two completely different systems- digestive and reproductive. Really, they don't join until the very end of both right before the exit from the body.

I REALLY hope this was not the case and your DH is just playing some practical joke on you.. BUT, if this truely was in the egg, you might want to look at the bottom of this page: http://www.chat.allotment.org.uk/index.php?topic=17568.0

Under the very last picture it states: It is not unkown for them to enter the reproductive tract from the digestive tract via the vent and be found inside an egg :shock:

If this really was found IN the egg, I can't believe he actually ate it!! YUK!!!!
