I found a scorpion in my chili once. I didn't put it there and it wasn't in the pot when I started cooking. It fell in from the stove hood. Could someone have been playing with a rubber band in the house and it shot through the air and landed in the skillet? Maybe it was stuck to the ceiling for a few months and decided to fall into the skillet at just the right time.
