The lock of Emily's door clicked and a beautiful woman walked into the room. "Darn it! I knew someone would hear the mirror breaking" Emily thought, upset with herself. Emily had never seen this woman before, but judging by the clipboard she had clutched to her chest, she must be part of the staff and could not be trusted. "What do you want?" Emily asked the woman without making eye contact.
Janette glanced around the room a moment before answering. "I heard a loud crash and I came to check and make sure everyone was okay," she explained. She didn't advance any further beyond the doorway, but surveyed the small room easily from there. The room was pitiable and dirty, more so than the lower level wards.

Emily hugged her knees to her chest and replied "Everything is fine, the mirror fell off the wall in the bathroom." Emily chanced a glance at the woman. She had a disgusted look on her face as she surveyed Emily's room. "When you see a janitor send him here. My room hasn't been cleaned since I got here" Emily stated.

Nathan unlocked the door and shut it behind him as he came in, "The Dcotor wanted to talk to me a little earlier" he said as he turned on a small radio so it would be harder for someone to listen in on their conversation

Janette wasn't sure wether to believe her. Oftentimes the patients made up stuff just to get attention. She stared hard at Emily, trying to discern if she was being truthful, but beyond her sunken cheek bones and paleness, nothing could be told. Janette took a step forward and peered around the corner into the pathetic excuse for a bathroom. Glass littered the floor, meaning Emily was telling the truth. "I'll pass on your message to the head," she replied. "Have you had your checkup today?" She asked after a silent minute.

Emily jerked her head and looked at the woman through narrowed eyes at the mention of a check up. "I had one yesterday" Emily spat at the woman, while returning her eyes to the tomato soup stain on the chair.

"Very well then. Has lunch been sent up for you yet?" Janette asked. She now had her clipboard out and was viewing Emily's page again.

"No. I haven't eaten since breakfast yesterday. Apparently the nurse on duty yesterday must have forgotten. Put that on your chart too" Emily sneared and turned away to face the window.
