can you repost the original so I know what I'm looking at?
The last intestine picture, middle left. By the white downish featherscan you repost the original so I know what I'm looking at?It looks like the side of a breast near the wing joint.
keep in mind he was sitting on ice for 24 hours. it looks to me like some of the color from the blood has leached out into the slimy clear stuff. (real technical there) I can't remember what it's called.
edit: actually yeah is this from the same bird? I don't see that in any of the other pics.
3rd one under intestines and gizzard.Which picture is that?
Can you screen shot the lungs for me please?Hey there. I think I see adhesions from the air sacs (lungs) to the body wall and other organs. The lungs should be bubblegum pink and just sitting there cleanly. The lungs in your pictures are dark red and look wet. In your chest pic, there are lots of strands from the surfaces of the lungs to the sides of the chest which should not be there. With the purple comb and sudden death, I am thinking a severe peracute pneumonia. I have done hundreds of chicken necropsies (I am a veterinary pathologist). Looking at the lungs microscopically would confirm that interpretation. It's possible that the water deprivation was the straw that pushed him over the edgePoor little guy.
yeah, it just looks like discoloration from him sitting for a day. could be from the intestines. The last intestine picture, middle left. By the white downish feathers
