I have to ask: would he presented with obvious symptoms a day or so before death?
He literally went from A-Okay to dead with no symptoms that I or my family members saw.

can you repost the original so I know what I'm looking at? It looks like the side of a breast near the wing joint.

keep in mind he was sitting on ice for 24 hours. it looks to me like some of the color from the blood has leached out into the slimy clear stuff. (real technical there ) I can't remember what it's called.


edit: actually yeah is this from the same bird? I don't see that in any of the other pics.

First thing... I'm so sorry you lost your rooster. All of my animals have a piece of my heart and i know how hard it is to lose one.

I wish I could circle the areas I am taking about - but all those strandy things going from the lungs to the chest wall are not normal. And the lung color is very dark too.
