Homegrown feed

I’m sure it would work. I’ll send you a PM with a link to the guy I bought from. Just the caveat that it arrived Friday and the picture is from this morning, so I can’t say I recommend him yet. In a week if it’s growing then I would LOL.

Aren't Muscovy poultry? According to the USDFA regarding the quarantine, poultry refers to all domesticated and semi domesticated fowls. Which includes Muscovy.

So in theory, you shouldn't be bringing them in.
I already have the Muscovy. We wanted to add chickens but they have a quarantine. We’ve had the Muscovy for several months now.

Lettuce would be a good crop, but Muscovy love bugs so they will also keep the bug population down around any crops you plant. My Muscovy's love corn too I just limit how much I give them don't want females who lay eggs to get over weight. which can cause egg laying problems.
So should I consider growing bugs? My ducks aren’t freerange, but they have a large pen area.

Just about anything you plant is going to attack bugs but herbs and veggies would be a good start sweet potatoes will vine and they will grow up fencing too can give shade and give the ducks something yummy to munch on @DuckyDonna can tell you about sweet potatoes

I have Muscovy ducks, will be getting a pig in the near future, and am getting ready to start planting crops for them. (We also wanted to get chickens but there is a current poultry quarantine) were intending to grow corn for the pig but what other plants can I grow for my feathered friends? Because Muscovys are bigger then average ducks three need a higher protein intake. Any suggestions?

Just reread this...there's a type of beet that's supposed to be amazing fodder for pigs. Mangels. Here and here are some info about using them for pigs.

Also wanted to show you my duckweed. It arrived on March 8th, wasn't much to look at...a wet paper towel with tiny green leaves on it in a ziplock bag. I wasn't expecting it until March 11, so I didn't have my pool ready with dechlorinated water. I dumped some bottled water in a small bowl and rinsed as many of the leaves off the paper towel as I could. I think I ended up with *maybe* half of them in the water. March 10 or 11, I put it in the 3' kiddie swimming pool. (I took the first picture on the 11th) Yesterday, I filled the second pool and let it sit overnight for the chlorine to evaporate, and then today, I scooped a small amount into it, too. Hubby wants more pools or a pond now, he's in shock at how fast it's multiplying. I've added duck poop for fertilizer.
