Homemade Christmas Ornament Swap ~ November/December CLOSED

I recieved my ornament from Sianara today and it's absolutely beautiful. She does pysanky and it is an egg from her own chicken Lucy.

Thank You Sianara I love my egg. Can I ask you did you dye the whole egg and then wax the holly and take the dye off again? How did you do this? I am just learning pysanky and trying to understand it more. This is beautiful and I will treasure this egg.

Yes kinda... I dyed it brick then waxed the line then washed it in ivory dish liquid to remove the exposed dye. Then followed the same procedure for red and green. Using this soap removes the dye between layers but doesn't affect the absorption of the next dye layer. In the end I put in a bleach/water bath for a clean background. Glad you like it
