By mashed potatoes, do you mean the real thing or the powdered in dry form? Probably a dumb question, but I have a sourdough recipe that uses the dry flakes.

We have had this recipe in our family for years and I don't think anyone has ever used dry flakes. If you try it that way, let me know how it turns out.
