Not home made, but free for the taking. I love my town dump. AKA my town mall. Most recent finds: 4 dozen canning jars. Various sizes and shapes, some of them quite decorative. A couple of months ago, I came home with a solid maple night table. It was in very good shape, except for a tiny cigarette burn on the top, and a couple of burns in the drawer. It had been thrown on the burn pile. Hubby took ownership of that project, painted it white and put a classy drawer pull on it. Perfect finishing touch to our reclaimed guest room.

On another thread I was sharing fly control strategies and thought I would share some here. It is easier to control flies when you have more devices working. I purchase these from Walmart for about $5. When they get filled I remove the one way trap device and place on a clear juice jug. Clear works better than opaque since the flies can see into. All their relatives are enjoying the spoils. :lau. It is similar to this one but better. I believe the flies can escape from this one. Mine is more like Fort Knox.

I keep reusing when bottle gets about half. I just save some of the fly juice as starting attractant, and add more water. I keep about 5 or 6 in different locations and my fly problem is under control.

I do not understand why I haven't received alerts on this thread or am I just misreading them?
I just read all the new posts and want to thank everyone for contributing to this thread to keep it going! Thank you!
:hugs:highfive:

:lau Honestly I think making the dang thing, finding the drill and a cord, getting it all out there would take more time and effort than just washing them normally? Then there's the whole avoiding electrocution from soapy water + slippery ground + electric device + lazy moron thing. Or is it just me?

ETA: I meant "lazy man". Really.
I know what you meant! Hehe! My hub is both!
I just caught that btw!!!:lau
