Do you have pictures of your horse on here? (or do you need to put one up for me to see? Hint hint)

I will have to get some. I wasn't able to post here a bit ago. & My camera took a dump, so I will have to soon for you. I do not show or anything, so none of those. booohoooooo

We had to put down my lovely Stormi tonight.
She apparently got colic and was rushed to the vet, and after not showing any progress, was sent to Purdue.
They decided it was best to put her down a few hours ago.

I'm heartbroken, and even though I have my Arabian still to train, I don't know if I'm going to still have the passion as I did before.
Stormi was my baby. We got her when I was in third grade, and I showed her all ten years of 4H, last year being my last.
At least she's not suffering anymore.

She was 22.

I am soooo very sorry to hear that!! Yes you can do just as good with your new one. oxoxoxxo I am so very sorry.

So sorry to hear this.

You all did the right thing, you got her to the vet and listened to the vet enough to decide what is best FOR your horse.

It is never easy to make the decision, but you all did right by her.

I own 2 right now. 2 Haflingers a friend & I rescued from PA. New Holland horse (slaughter) auction (the last stop before they are sent to Canada to be slaughter for human food YUCK). They traveled VERY far!!! Im in Vegas, so over 2000 miles. I was born into horses, my family has been into Morgan horses for almost 100yrs. Funny I don't own one now..... LOL Who rides? What breeds you own? Do you show? I don't, did when I was younger. Im a trail riding fool!!!

Looking forward to hearing from more horse lovers!!!

So cool! I love Haflingers! That's what I learned riding on... We now have Paso Finos. Everybody is on a barefoot summer break right now due to the temps

. Starting up again in the fall. We do mostly trail and cross country riding with the occasional field trials for fun.

Little Chicken Lady - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know your heart is breaking.

Thank you! He's been a dream to own and ride. One of those you can leave out in the pasture for 6 months and get on and ride out with no fears. (The corral we're in is going to be my chicken pen soon
