Horseback riding boots??

I always have to use a catalog like Dover Saddlery or Dressage Extensions--my area is devoid of tack shops.

Keep your eye out for horse shows too, some shows you can find amazing deals on boots/clothes.

I really like my Ariat Westchester dress boots. They are supportive and comfy for schooling but also look great for showing. I've had my Ariats for 18 months or so and have been very happy with them so far. I clean them every time I ride and they still look almost new with just a little wear on the inner calf. This was my first new pair of boots since the back zipper trend and I have to say, it's awesome. No more fighting with the boot pulls!. They've been a great option for me while I save up for a pair of custom boots.

One other idea if you're like me and don't have a tack shop nearby that consigns used boots is to try on some new boots, figure out what size, calf length/width you wear, and then scour ebay, craigslist, etc for a gently used pair.
