Drumstick Diva may be on to something here. It is possible the glue is not doing this wound any good. I would get back in contact with your vet and discuss the situation.
 
Mmm yes that sounds like it could be the problem, I hadnt thought of that ill give the vet a call this morning when they open. Thanks everyone this forum is so good xxx
