The funny part is the agent did not say chicken coops,she specifically said the CHICKENS. I had the wild picture going through my head of them walking around outside and just a puff of smoke and then nothing but some feathers left around.

See, I'd think they'd knock a discount off for your termite protection plan.......
and just think of the money you're saving on versus having the "bug man" spray your house periodically for roaches (or is that only my mother in law who does that??)

See if your agent can give you some sort of proof. Maybe pictures or an old claim from a chicken that combusted. See what they say.

Never had to have the house sprayed for roaches or bugs luckily. I don't have much of a problem with that around here. The few insects I did have that would come into the house seem to have deminished to none since the chickens have been roaming free all day long.

OMG!! that is crazy....but also in the same boat, my insurance went up. while my property taxes went down. in the end it balances out here.

however my insurance broker told me that it was because of the bedding etc...not because chickens were highly combustible, if she had told me that I would have fallen off my chair, ahahahahahaha.
