but if you are a veteran, the child of a veteran or a spouse/widow of a veteran, check into USAA for insurance. Really good company. Just to be clear, I do not work for them but I do use them for all of my insurance.

My dad was in the navy during viet nam, so I guess I count as the child of a veteren. You have a number for them?

You know... it makes me wonder just what those insurance folks' kids have been doing that they accept that as fact...

and x3 on the USAA thing... they ROCK on insurance rates, and their banking is good too... have to do electronic deposits, unless you're in South Texas, but really FREE checking and savings... so awesome.

Weird. Must be a local thing.
Ours hasn't even asked about us having dogs. Some people have trouble getting insurance with a Chow, but they haven't ever even asked if we had any kind of dog. They don't know about the chickens either, coz well, they never asked. LOL

For the record, she's just as much Lab as she is Chow, so if anybody who might care asks we have two "Lab mixes" - and it's the truth.

UGH! I worked for MONTHS with State Farm trying to get them to pay a claim for storm damage to our association exterior wall. They kept trying to tell me that a huge amount of the damage was wear and tear! (portions of the wall adjacent to the 40' that actually collapsed broken away from the structural columns). Funny, the further you got from the collapsed section, the less the wall was impacted. Plus statements by a number of residents who pass that section regularly saying there was no damage prior to the storm.

I'm the child of a veteran! Maybe I need to look into them too. Thanks for that info!

USAA.com is where you can start your snooping.
