How About a Jumbo Co Op

To be perfectly honest with you! I'm not sure why you even posted here. I'm not saying you shouldn't, just don't understand why.

It was this part. I just wanted to clarify. It seemed for a minute like you were suggesting that some of us didn't belong here. I'm glad to know that's not the case, though! Sometimes I read people's posts on the literal side.

All is well in Quail world, no offense taken & none meant!

No harm no foul, my friend! The broader discussion follows now. Are they or are they not "Japanese" quail?

I'm on this roller coaster for the long haul

Just did a search on the common quail.....but like i post early I know first hand that marsh farm import these in early 60s. in his flyer he told about the huge flocks in Arabia. Names like Pharaoh, British Range, and English White. All come from those birds that would have come from that Area of the world.

The Common Quail and Japanese Quail are so alike in qualities and characteristics that it is said they are now the same bird, just people called them differently. Do not trust Wikipedia...I was always docked points when I looked at that site.

ETA: Deerman, I studied the Japanese Quail since 2005 at Oregon State University, graduated in 2009 with B.S Degree in Animal Sciences with Pre-vet and Poultry Option. Now I got accepted to Texas A and M University to study the Quail more in dept in genetics. I am serious in what I say

Perfect choice of a school for studying quail. Texas A&M...just seems "right" for this course of study.
