Just did a search on the common quail.....but like i post early I know first hand that marsh farm import these in early 60s. in his flyer he told about the huge flocks in Arabia. Names like Pharaoh, British Range, and English White. All come from those birds that would have come from that Area of the world.

No matter I know where Marsh Farm import those first quails from......was not Japan......so know for a fact the first coturnix where the common quail.....reason he named them as he did.....now maybe the Japanese Quail Were import later.

Perfect choice of a school for studying quail. Texas A&M...just seems "right" for this course of study.

Yes also let us know where those A&M white meat 1 lb quail are....Texas A&M University was said to had these.......sure would like to find them.
