What did your birds look like as chicks? Several genetic mechanisms seem to give the pumpkin look but they can vary greatly in respect to down coloration. I am trying to figure out mine which looks most similar to your bird in on lower right. Several parties have suggested my birds are somehow of pumpkin origin (they are not) but that does not preclude possibility that color genetics are related.
