How big/small is your town?

About 4000 for approx 35 sq mi...

No stop lights, one P.O., one small groc store, one bank, 3 liquor stores (I guess we're a bunch of drunks), one elem school (middle and HS are in a town 12 mi away), a feed store and one gas station.

I grew up in New England 14 miles north of Boston pop 177,000 passing through down south to see family, convinced me to stay. Married now and live in a town of 436 I knew more people in high school.

I'm curious about how the American zip code thing works. Here we have a different postcode for each area of the city.

Large cities will have several zip codes in different areas of the city... Rural areas often just have one or a few for a very large area, depending on the population size usually.

Oh okay, well, I've never lived in a rural area so I wouldn't know what post codes are like out there

In some places there'll be one for each suburb of a city!

I'm imagining somewhere where it's snowing and Christmas carols are playing in the background... *shakes head* That wasn't correct, was it?

I've seen coniferous forests before. Quite intimidating, but peaceful when you get inside. Nice musty smell as well.

My city has a population of 10,669 as of 2010.

I grew up on an Island in Puget Sound that now has a population of 10,624. When I was going to school there as a kid, the school district had just over 500 students in the entire district. That was K thru grade 12.

We've honestly never had a white Christmas since way before I moved here or was born, snow itself is pretty rare.

We get rainy holidays though!

My family and I used to live in Fern Prairie, just north of Camas. Top Burger still has the best soft serve ice cream cones in the State.
