How can I make the nest boxes more attractive?

Aloha,

3/5 Silver Barnevelder hens have started laying! They all prefer the corner right next to the nesting boxes instead of inside them.

I've tried fake eggs, higher and lower, with and without curtains, but they still like that one spot. Any ideas to help make the nesting boxes more attractive? Will they naturally start using them as needed?

Maybe block the spot they have been laying?

Block the corner but those boxes look pretty small, if they're less than a foot across and tall, they're sadly too small for standard size hens
