Lovely pattern! I didn't even realize Runners came in lavender...will have to check it out. Is it a dilute chocolate gene?

How exciting how many eggs are you hatching? Yes seems all blk and evidently blues although you can’t tell it the same as the blacks females of all breeds start turning white as they age. Speckled pups lol.

What day do your new runner babies get here? How exciting

That is so exciting. My hatch day is supposed to be Monday the 29th for the pekin girls. I have already ordered the Brewers yeast, NutraDrench and am getting their brooder box ready. It was so hard to walk by the ducklings at TSC over the weekend though!

Ok, so it seems that rabbit color genetics and duck color genetics are quite different. This thread really gets into the nitty-gritty of Runner color genetics and all the cool possibilities. According to @Senna95, silver is "...extended black with double blue dilution". Wow! You could get some really amazing colors with your flock, @Miss Lydia.

I bet it was poor little ones need homes all of them. So yours will be here next week we’re going to be sharing Baby pics for sure. I’d take the Brewers yeast back and exchange for Nutritional yeast it has better quality niacin .

I had the most gorgeous blue dusky and my husband and son talked me into keeping my blk I love him to bits but I wish I’d kept the bd too. I’d just have had to get more girls

Oh Lord, I just cancelled brewer's yeast and ordered nutritional yeast. I thought I bought the right stuff since it has chicks and ducklings on the label. It was expensive though

I managed to get a pic this morning of the last "mystery" duckling in this group...with the help of BYC friends (thank you!!) and some sleuthing, I'm confident that there are 3 fawn and white Runners, 1 Mallard, and 1 silver/splash Swedish, but this one still isn't obvious to me. Opinions re whether this duckling's looking more Buff now?

I don’t remember my Buffs having the caramel coloring like ripples in their feathers but it has been 3 yrs. she sure is gorgeous!
