how do i convince my parennts to get me a chicken

you go to a 4-H meeting and talk to the leader, they'll hand you an application, some make you pay yearly dues, here its $10 for the whole year, they teach you how to handle your chicken, how to properly care for them, and what each part of the chicken is and what you need to know to show your chicken.

I wanted chickens ever since i saw the silkie ones at this one fair i go too.

I have said before- There are many members of my daughters' 4-H club that live in the city limits of their respective towns where ANY type of livestock is illegal
If , however they are showing in the county fair they are allowed to house these animals.

What more can I say?

theres different shows, there's the 4-H fair you go to, that is where the judge asks you questions and you show different stuff on your bird, like the vent, breast bone, left wing, right wing, the questions he ask individually, at other shows or fairs your bird is in a cage and the judge looks at it himself

i never gone to a poultry 4-H meeting i just helped my niece study for her 4-H shows and looked at her book.
