How do I kill a fox in a have-a-heart trap?

A bullet placed in either spot will kill the animal quickly. Heart will usually bleed slightly less and make skinning a little easier and less messy around the head area. Shooting between the eyes an inch high will put the fox down instantly.
Regardless just hose the trap off immediately and the cage won’t be a mess.

There is actually a cat that I'm trying to also catch in the "have-a-heart" trap. Me and two of my other neighbors see him/her all the time. Maybe I'll get both! (Fox and cat)
