how do you get popular on BYC

Define popular? Some of us have just been around for a long time. This website started in 1998 an I have been on it sense 2001. Several others have been on for years too. I would not say any of us are popular, we just have known each other a long time.

Express a sense of humor if that is your style - just remember this is a family oriented site. I agree don't fall into the lifeless routine of wording all your posts in the same mechanical fashion. Mix it up. Actually READ the post you are replying to, for instance if someone reports a predator just wiped out their flock, don't say "sounds like you have a lovely flock." etc. DUH!!
