How do you get the mud (brown) out of your blues?

Totally OT - I seriously need to come ride a steer - that looks like WAY too much fun!

Also OT - I just gotta tell ya I got a chuckle out of this thread's title. I painted the outside of my coop today and left the chickens alone for all of five minutes.
So tell me, how do I get the blue outta my buffs?

Any time you want to test drive one of my big boys you are more then welcome.. I love seeming the smiles on peoples faces when they are up there for the first time. Its fun..

Just let me know when.

Blue out of the buffs.. how funny..

Forget the actual bird that the phono is of and use that as an example of what Im talking about IF that were genetic.. That would be a darker brown..
What Im talking about is when people have used Buffs for setting type or what ever.. and that mud shows through, even redish tint sometimes..
buff is a dilute of red..

So if anything does this give you an idea of what i mean?

Well, that certainly would add some off color, to mix the two, but no one I know has done that and sold them as anything but mixed, buff x blue. It'd take some time to breed that out, I'd think, if they did, though why would anyone mix the colors and mess that up when they can get just other, better blues to breed up the good traits?

I agree. Why would use use buff to set type? There are good examples of blues, and if you couldn't find blue I would use a good black.
