Ohhh, I misunderstood your previous post, now I get it!... .Hey AmyLynn, would you hesitate to candle a day 20 egg, if you weren't seeing any pips in the bunch?

LOL!I just wanted to hear you say it!
Ok, so after dark, I'm going to candle a few and see what's going on in there...
ETA: Well, I have a bad feeling about this clutch. I didn't candle all of them, but I don't see much going on.
I really want Edd Sheppard birds. I'm not one for culling a bunch of valuable genetics to get a blue ribbon winner. I'm more into breed conservation, especially rare and difficult breeds... Edd values his bird's genetic diversity and he's done a great job of preserving their unique qualities.
Soooo, maybe I go to CA in April and meet Mr Sheppard ..... I might also like to have some Ann Charles birds...
Yes, I have a cpu fan out of a computer. It works great, just wish I'd manufactured some kind of chick guard (just in case).....
sounds like something my mom would do, lol.I should've cut a piece of screen or hardware cloth and made a guard for the back of it.... I thought it was high enough to keep chicks out, but I guess it's better to be safe than sorry.... It was so cheap compared to the "incubator fan kits" on ebay.... I paid $3 for it, versus $23 for the kit.... I had an old flashlight charger and just cut the end off, wired the plug to the fan and stick it in the wall!
LOL! It was a fun little projectI really enjoyed doing it......so much, I'm building another one!

Ya know, the first time you do anything, it's just a learning experience, so then you have to do it again and fix the things you missed the first go around!
